2023 Virtual Introductory Beekeeping Course
Participants will have access to pre-recorded lecture and demonstration videos and also videos from the HBRC’s YouTube channel.
The course will be divided into 4 modules. Participants will be expected to view the videos for each module prior to a live, online, 1-hour Question and Answer period, via Zoom Meetings.
During this live Q&A session, participants are free to clarify and discuss any information from the assigned videos.
We recommend that participants watch the videos for each module as close to the Q&A session as possible and take notes on what they would like to discuss. Questions regarding topics of later modules should be reserved for the appropriate Q&A periods.
Participants will need to be able to use Zoom Meetings. There are many online tutorials, for anyone who is not familiar with this platform.
How to use Zoom tutorials:
We will ask course participants to keep their cameras off, microphones muted, and to use the chat for questions. There may be an opportunity for some participants to turn on their mics to ask their questions verbally.
We plan to record the live Q&A sessions and make them available to participants for a period of time after the end of the course.
Participants will also need to be able to access our pre-recorded presentations using Google Drive or Dropbox. There are many online tutorials, for anyone who is not familiar with these platforms.
Registration and payment are online, through Eventbrite. Participants will be able to access the course videos and Q&A recordings for 2 weeks after the course completion.
