Serena Causton

Serena joined the HBRC in 2022 as an Apiary Research Technician. She begins her second year studying Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph in the fall of 2022. Serena assists with field work in the bee yards, including queen rearing and hive maintenance, and spends time in the lab helping out with research projects concerning honey bee health. This is her first experience working with bees, though she has always had a passion for insect biodiversity, and the apiary lifestyle. So far, her time at the HBRC has been un-bee-lievably fun and exciting!
