Joelle is a MITACs Globalink Summer Research intern currently pursuing a Masters in Biosciences at Durham University, England. She has been working under PhD candidate, Alvaro de La Mora Pena, participating in both beekeeping and molecular biology laboratory activities. From never having worked with bees before, this internship has encouraged Joelle to develop a newfound appreciation for apiculture.
