We have two Quebec style bee escape plans. The first one has an outside thickness of 7/8″, whereas the second plan has an outside thickness of 3/4″.
We recommend using 8 mesh galvanized steel screen from Gerard Daniel. We use galvanized steel because it is easier to cut and staple than stainless steel. In addition, bee escapes are only on the hive temporarily, so they aren’t exposed to the outdoors for long. Gerard Daniel ships to both Canada and the USA.
